Terms of use

These terms govern your use of StepsMCP, the iOS app and the website at stepsmcp.com. By using StepsMCP you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

StepsMCP is a step counter for iPhone. The free tier reads your step count from Apple Health and shows charts, trends, and optional notifications, with no feature held back. StepsMCP Pro additionally lets you generate a personal, read-only API key so an MCP client (for example an AI assistant) can query your step history on your behalf.

Subscriptions

StepsMCP Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription with two options:

  • Monthly — $1.99, billed every month.
  • Annual — $17.99, billed every year.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew at any time in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, after purchase.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial, if one is offered, is forfeited once you purchase a subscription.
  • All billing is handled by Apple. StepsMCP never sees or stores your payment details, and refunds are requested through Apple, not StepsMCP.

If you cancel, Pro features remain available until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account reverts to the free tier. Your step history and account are not deleted when a subscription ends — see the privacy policy for how to delete your data.

Acceptable use

Use StepsMCP only for its intended purpose — tracking and reviewing your own step data. Do not attempt to access another account's data, redistribute or resell API keys, or use the service to build a competing product.

Availability

StepsMCP is provided “as is.” We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the app, API, or MCP server will be uninterrupted or error-free. Step counts originate from Apple Health and are only as accurate as the data your iPhone recorded.

Termination

You may stop using StepsMCP and delete your account at any time, as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate access for use that violates these terms.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we will update the date above and notify users in the app before the change takes effect.
